Jerry Edmonds, Jr.
Invitational Tennis Tournament
May 20 - 21, 2017

This year's tournament was held in memory of Jerry Edmonds, Jr, who passed away in 2016.

Jerry was instrumental in the organization of Oxford Community Tennis Association.
He taught tennis at OCTA clinics for many years and started the Jerry Edmonds Tennis School at his home.
He was an avid tennis player and will be remembered for his many contributions to the sport.

Congratulations to all the tournament winners in the Jerry Edmonds, Jr. Invitational Tennis Tournament, held on May 20-21. Special thanks to Jerry Edmonds, III and his wife, Dorcel,

who came out for the opening of the tournament on Saturday morning. Jerry gave remarks about his dad, his love for tennis and his contributions to the sport. They also made a donation to the Oxford Community Tennis Association.

*Boys' Singles ~ 1st Place, Tyrese Cooper; 2nd Place, Roy Hunt, Jr.

*Men's Singles ~ 1st Place, Taylor Currin; 2nd Place, Tom Traylor

*Women's Doubles ~ 1st Place, Barbara Howe & Meredith Currin; 2nd Place, Nancy Stovall & Betty Lou Davis

*Men's Doubles ~ 1st place, Taylor Currin & Steve Ausley; 2nd place, Thornton Stovall & Gilbert Blaylock

*Mixed Doubles ~ 1st place, Darlene Tarlton & Steve Ausley; 2nd Place, Barbara Howe & Edgar Rodriquez
